All parts of the form should be fully completed.There is no guarantee that transfer requests will be successful as demand for places varies from year to year.In most cases, transfer requests will only be considered at the end of the academic year. Only in exceptional circumstances will transfer requests be considered past this deadline. We would still request that all students looking for a programme change email us and we can discuss possible alternative options.College of Science and Engineering new students programme transfer requestsAll transfer requests from new students must be submitted by the end of week two of teaching (Friday 2nd October 2020) in order to be considered.Please note that transfers are likely to be very limited this year as most programmes are running at maximum capacity due to the impact of the reassessed exam grades.You must have met the stated entry requirement for new programme (and in the case of selective programmes, the level required to have received an offer had they applied to that programme initially) in order to be considered.Students wishing to request a change should contact sciengra@ed.ac.uk from their UoE email address, with the subject ‘Programme Transfer Request’, noting the degree they are enrolled in and the degree they are enquiring about switching to. To make this clear it would be advisable for them to state the full degree title and ideally the UCAS code, eg: MA Geography L700 or MEng Chemical Engineering H800.Please note that all enquiries must be submitted by email, by the deadline, so that they can be considered.All transfer requests submitted by the deadline will be considered, and approved where possible.
