When progression into the Junior Honours year isn't approved

What Happens if Progression into The Junior Honours Year of The Biomedical Sciences Degree Programme is Not Approved?

If your progression to the Junior Honours year of the Biomedical Sciences degree programme is not approved, there are two possible alternatives.

Continue with Biomedical Sciences

You may decide to continue on the Biomedical Sciences programme and graduate at the end of 3rd year with an Ordinary degree.

Transfer to another degree programme

Alternatively, you may apply to transfer from the Biomedical Sciences degree programme to another degree programme. This could be one of the Biological Sciences degree programmes.  Astute choice of elective courses in the second year can keep Honours options in the Biological Sciences open, nevertheless, a transfer to a Biological Sciences programme would be dependent on places being available which cannot be assumed. Such a transfer could only occur at the end of the second year. To be eligible to transfer you must meet published progression requirements for the degree programme.

Timing your decision

If you decide to continue on the Biomedical Sciences Ordinary degree programme, continuation into the fourth year of a Biomedical Sciences discipline would not be possible no matter how well you performed in the third year.
