Emily Beany is PhD student at the Edinburgh College of Art. This collaborative filmmaking project explores and shares local and international perspectives on how our brains and world are changing. Rising temperatures and extreme weather events are affecting brain health globally. From mental health and cognition to resilience and problem solving, our minds are impacted by our environment. With interdisciplinary collaborators in Scotland and Malawi, the filmmaking process will be workshopped and shaped by lived experiences, research and reflections on exposure, vulnerabilities, resilience and care.
