Katarzyna describes her time at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. Image I spent the third year of my Medical Sciences degree on a year-long exchange at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, where I studied with second year Biomedicine students. Most courses started with the very basics and built up to new material, which was taught through lectures, groups seminars, and some practical sessions. I especially enjoyed the Neuroscience and Pharmacology with Toxicology courses, which were well-organised and explored a wide range of topics. My exchange was a great opportunity to meet new people and learn more about the Swedish science community. If you have the chance, I would also recommend taking part in the Women in Science Mentor programme - the support and guidance from my mentor was the best part of my exchange!Karolinska exchange information for students on the Medical Sciences programme This article was published on 2024-08-05
