Year 3 Biomedical Sciences Community 2024-25 Jar in Action (Sustainability)

Sustainability issues touch our lives in many ways. Fusion is running a project where we are asking a variety of people to construct art works in the form of glass jars and their contents which encapsulate their creative response to what ‘sustainability’ means to them.

Jar in Action

Instructions:

  • Find a glass jar
  • Think about what you want to put in your jar in response to the question‘What does sustainability mean to you?’
  • Construct your jar art work and stick a label with your name on the bottom.
  • Fill in the short participant form available from Tom Pratt or at Hugh Robson Building reception.
  • Deliver your jar art work with the participant form attached to Hugh Robson Building reception. Reception is open from 8:30-16:00 Monday - Friday.

Things to Consider:

  • Please be mindful that your jar will be on public display and used for research so do not include anything that you do not wish to be shared.
  • Your jar will be exhibited over the next few months so please do not construct jars that are unstable or are likely to cause a hazard while they are being exhibited.
  • We will try to look after your jar but cannot take responsibility for any damage. If you wish to reclaim your jar once it has been exhibited we will arrange for a collection point.
