A new study, describing the anatomy and histomorphology of the flexor digitorum profundus tendon insertion site, has been published by recent anatomy PhD graduate, Dr Jeremy Mortimer, supervised by Dr Jennifer Paxton. This study gives new insights into the gross and micro anatomical details of this region, to help inform both surgical practice and tissue-engineered replacement design.
