Tom Gillingwater's group, working alongside Professor Kevin Talbot's group at the University of Oxford, have been awarded £493,272 from the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation to undertake cutting-edge research into new therapies for motor neurone disease. This funding represents a major new investment in motor neurone disease research at the University of Edinburgh, and strengthens existing multi-disciplinary, collaborative research between Edinburgh and Oxford that is seeking to find new treatments and therapies for these conditions.
