Jeremy Mortimer, PhD student in the Paxton Lab, was recently awarded the best (joint) poster prize at the 19th Congress of the International Federation of Association of Anatomists (IFAA) in London, 9-11 August 2019. Image Jeremy Mortimer with his Research Poster at IFAA 2019 This was a very well attended conference with over 500 posters presented so this is an excellent achievement. Jeremy’s poster describes his PhD work which is using anatomical morphometrics to guide the design and development of tissue-engineered structures for implantation. This novel and innovative work has also been recognised at the UKSB/TCES conference in June 2019 (Runner-up oral presentation prize) and poster prize at the Edinburgh Musculoskeletal Group Symposium in December 2018.
