BMS student publication success

Four undergraduate students from the Biomedical Sciences programme have had their work published in the Journal of Insect Physiology.

In their paper, Yilan Shen, Sunna Haidar, Mihail Nikolaev & Denis Beqja describe the use of a transgenic tarantula toxin as a new tool to study ion channels in fruit flies.

The work was carried out as part of a summer internship in the Denholm lab and was funded by a BMTO Summer Research Scholarship and a WR Henderson Scholarship.
