The first Anatomical Sciences Summer School welcomes an international cohort to Edinburgh

Last week, Anatomy@Edinburgh has the pleasure of hosting its first ever Summer School for the Anatomical Sciences online learning programme.

Fifteen online students from around the globe, including Scotland, England, Saudi Arabia, Finland, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the USA, travelled to Edinburgh for a week filled with engaging anatomy activities.

The Summer School offered a comprehensive experience, with participants engaging with lectures, practical laboratory sessions and opportunities to explore new technologies in anatomy teaching. Beyond the academic activities, the participants also explored the city, visiting Edinburgh Castle, and the social events provided a valuable opportunity for them to network with fellow anatomists.

A wonderful time was had by all and we are already looking forward to the next one!

“The lab classes were so valuable in consolidating my online learning. Summer school was so well thought out and organised and its very sweet the way the department is so fond of its online students.”

“The summer school was absolutely amazing. I had a great experience with anatomy lab, lectures, meeting the lecturers and other anatomists. It was great to meet people in person. Fantastic idea!"
