PhD student passes PhD viva!

Huge congratulations to Vinothini Prabhakaran, a researcher in the Paxton Lab, who has recently passed her PhD viva.

Vinothini’s PhD was entitled, ‘Investigation of novel bio-fabrication strategies for designing and engineering 3D macro-tissues and co-culture models of musculoskeletal structures in vitro’. Her work established several different models for tissue engineering of bone, tendon, cartilage and enthesis structures in the lab using a combination of new and exciting techniques!

Well done, Vino!

Dr Vinothini Prabhakaran with principal supervisor Dr Jennifer Paxton and examiners, Professor Katherine Staines and Dr Stephen Maclean.
