Join us for an evening of anatomy-themed talks and activities in the historic Old Medical School to celebrate World Anatomy Day 2025.

Anatomy@Edinburgh are opening their doors to celebrate World Anatomy Day 2025.

Join us on Friday 17th October 2025 for an evening of talks and activities in the Anatomy Lecture Theatre and Anatomical Museum, hosted by the newly-formed Anatomy Department. Meet the staff, learn about our history, our current teaching and research, and the exciting developments on our horizon. This rare opportunity to meet and speak with our world-leading team of anatomy professionals on all things anatomical marks an exciting new beginning for the deparment – and you can even try your hand at some hands-on anatomy activities in the Anatomy Museum, in association with the Edinburgh ATLAS Facility.

The free event begins at 18.30 on Friday 17th October in the Old Medical School, Doorway 3, Teviot Place.

The event features invited talks on the past, present and future of Anatomy by Professors Gordon Findlater, His Majesty’s Inspector for Anatomy for Scotland, and Tom Gillingwater, the sitting Chair of Anatomy in Edinburgh Medical School.

Attendance is via ticket only: free tickets are available via EventBrite through https://edin.ac/4nl15kt, while supplies last.
