Anatomy for Surgeons at ASGBI International Congress

We were delighted to note the spotlight on anatomy at the recent ASGBI International Surgical Congress in Edinburgh, hosted in collaboration with The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) and Surgeons Quarter (12-14 May 2025).

The 3-day conference, on the theme ‘Embracing Tradition – Delivering Innovation’ was attended by delegates and speakers from across the globe. Ross Jones gave an invited talk on the subject of ‘Anatomy for Surgeons – from undergraduate study to consultant practice’ focusing on the approach to surgical anatomy throughout training, and highlighting the Wade Programme in Surgical Anatomy (RCSEd) and related initiatives.

The Association of Surgeons of Great Britain & Ireland (ASGBI) is the leading professional body for General Surgeons in Great Britain and Ireland, with the goal of advancing surgical excellence and patient care by promoting innovation, collaboration, and best practice.
