Anatomy@Edinburgh recently hosted a specialist flap course for higher surgical trainees in plastic surgery. The course, delivered in partnership with the NHS Scotland Deanery, allowed 10 specialty trainees in SE Scotland to gain practical experience in performing upper and lower limb flaps on fresh frozen cadaveric material, in a small group setting, with oversight from experienced consultant surgeons. The course was co-convened by Mr Benjamin Wood and Ms Jiahui Choong, along with senior support from D Widdowson, L Lancerotto, J Baker, R Thomas, P Addison and S Hamilton. We are very grateful to PolyNovo (Benjamin Feathers) for the kind sponsorship. This course is the most recent addition to the Higher Surgical Training (HST) portfolio delivered by Anatomy@Edinburgh in collaboration with the NHS Scotland Deanery, which aims to support surgical trainees throughout their specialty training.
