Tom Gillingwater elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh

Professor Tom Gillingwater has been elected to Fellowship of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE).

The RSE, Scotland's National Academy, contributes to the social, cultural and economic wellbeing of Scotland through the advancement of learning and useful knowledge. RSE Fellows have a fundamental role to play in enabling the RSE to deliver on its mission of ‘Knowledge made Useful’, and are elected on the basis of meeting three key criteria against which candidates are assessed: outstanding achievement; professional standing and; societal contribution.
