Tom Gillingwater, working with Ewout Groen from the Gillingwater lab and Kevin Talbot from Oxford University, has just published a new review paper in Nature Reviews Neurology covering exciting recent progress in the development of new therapies and treatments for the childhood motor neuron disease, spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). It includes coverage of the major technological breakthroughs in gene therapy that have been widely reported in the media over the last couple of years.
