Creative Learning in Anatomy, part of the Festival of Creative Learning 2018

As part of this year's Festival of Creative Learning, Teaching Fellow in Anatomy, Victoria McCulloch and colleagues organised two creative anatomy focused workshops.

Through two workshops; How Do We Create Facial Expressions? and Art-Beat: Art and Anatomy Presents Clay Hearts, students and staff of the University were given the opportunity to learn more about the structure of the muscles of facial expression and the human heart, respectively, using wax and air-drying clay. Feedback from attendees provided a positive response to the use of arts-based learning techniques, with attendees describing the workshops as fun, therapeutic and innovative.

You can read more about these workshops by visiting the Festival of Creative Learning's blog - Creative Learning in Anatomy.
