Research conducted in this theme investigates molecular understanding of the mechanisms and functions of complex life processes and to understand the pathophysiology of human diseases and related therapies.

This course includes a 20 week placement in leading research laboratories Investigating specialist topics relevant to human and health and disease. Students will utilise cutting edge molecular, genetic, modelling and bioinformatic approaches to advance molecular understanding of the mechanisms and functions of complex life processes and to understand the pathophysiology of human diseases and related therapies.
