Commendation at Holography Awards

January: The full-length human anatomy hologram commissioned by Prof. Gordon Findlater , has been commended at the Excellence in Holography Awards.

The International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) has given Excellence in Holography awards to outstanding holographic projects for the year.

These awards and commendations recognise Hologram products or techniques introduced over the previous year which represent the best in the industry for innovation and commercial potential.

The full-length human anatomy hologram was commissioned by Prof. Gordon Findlater at BMTO, because “teaching the true 3D structure of human anatomy to medical students is very difficult in the early years because all of their material is in 2D”.

Holoxica created the 1.7m hologram from a synthetic 3D model of a female derived from scans. The hologram contains three channels of information: the muscles, skeleton complete with arteries plus nervous system and the internal organs.
