Students will be instructed on the analysis and research methods required for a research project and this approach is consistent with their approach for students (on other programmes undertaking a Masters dissertation) with no previous knowledge of social science methodologies. The project will draw on relevant aggregated learning outcomes of the programme and students will develop, with supervision, an area of research or a science communication/public activity which they will analyse and reflect upon in a 12,000 word dissertation.
