On 15th January 2026, ZJE hosted an event reflecting on the triumphs of 2025 and ushering in an exciting new year. 2026 marks a pivotal chapter as the Institute celebrates its tenth anniversary.

Executive Dean, Professor Sue Welburn, highlighted the year's remarkable progress and set the scene for an exciting upcoming year of celebrations and success in talent development, research, and social contributions.

Recognising exceptional contributions

A highlight of the evening was the Awards ceremony to recognise outstanding achievers and honoring their exceptional contributions over the past decade. Prof Mike Shipston, Dr John Menzies and Dr Michael Daw were all honored with ten-year awards and Xiaoxiao Liu was honored with the five-year award. Congratulations to you all!
