The Anatomical Museum held their monthly open day on the 14th February to coincide with Valentine’s Day and ATLAS delivered an arts-based workshop designed to help the public learn more about the structure and workings of their heart. Dr Jennifer Paxton gave public talks on the Anatomy of the Heart and the historical connection of the heart to Valentine’s Day. Following this, members of the public were invited to personalise clay heart models to take home with them. This was enjoyed by adults and children alike and a wonderful collection of anatomical, abstract and amazing hearts were created by our visitors.Thanks to the generosity of our visitors, we also raised £100 for the British Heart Foundation.
