The Art of the Brain workshop developed in the ATLAS Facility was taken on tour to Queen Maragaret University, Edinburgh in September 2026 to help teach nursing students about the structure and function of the brain. Dr Jennifer Paxton was invited to deliver a guest seminar by nursing lecturer Natasha Price, QMU.Participants were provided with plaster brain models to paint, along with resources to describe structural and functional areas of the brain, as well as clinical scenarios such as stroke or trauma. The seminar was particularly useful for demonstrating the versatility of the workshop, previously designed for public engagement, to allow for anatomical and clinically-relevant discussions amongst peers and staff.The seminar was a great success and we are looking forward to more collaborative events in the future.
